How to Use the Bilge Pump Out Log Tool

Getting Started

Before using the tool, ensure that the Ship’s Data has been filled and saved in the General Info Section of the Ship’s Data page 💾. This step ensures all your logs are connected to the correct ship information.

Step 1: Fill in Voyage and Log Details 📝

Begin by entering the necessary voyage-related information:

  • Voyage From: The starting point of your voyage.

  • Voyage To: The destination.

  • Cargo on Board: Specify the cargo carried during the voyage.

  • Voyage Number: Input the unique voyage identifier.

  • Start of Voyage: Record the date your voyage began 📅.

  • Month of Logs: Specify the month for which the bilge logs are being recorded.

Step 2: Add, Save, or Delete Logs

Below the voyage details, you’ll manage your bilge pump-out logs:

  • Add Logs: Click the Add button to create a table for the full month (31 days). If your logs cover fewer days, enter N/A in the fields for unused days.

  • Delete Specific Logs: Remove individual entries as needed ❌.

  • Delete All Logs: Clear all entries in one click 🗑️.

  • Save Logs: Ensure your data is safely stored by clicking Save. You’ll receive a feedback message confirming the successful save ✅.

Step 3: Fill in Log Details

For each day in the log, complete the following fields:

  • B (m³): Enter the volume of water in the bilge before pumping out.

  • A (m³): Enter the volume of water in the bilge after pumping out.

    • The tool will automatically calculate the difference of pumped-out water ⚖️.

  • Time of Pump Out: Record the exact time the bilge water was pumped out 🕒.

  • Name of Bilge: Specify the bilge from which water was pumped.

Step 4: Add General Remarks

At the bottom of the page, use the General Remarks field to include any additional notes or comments related to the bilge operations 📝.

Step 5: Access Your Personal Record Book 📖

Click the Book Icon at the top of the page to open your Personal Record Book, where you can maintain private records related to the bilge logs 🔒.

Step 6: Print or Save the Bilge Pump Out Log 🖨️

Once all fields are completed and saved:

  1. Click the Print button at the bottom of the page to load the Bilge Pump Out Log Printout Form 📄.

  2. Use the Printer Icon in the top-right corner to print the form directly or save it as a PDF.
